Hello, Hope you are having an amazing day. I have a very important project. The problem is I installed contextcapture center on my windows 10 machine. it opened successfully. However, when I try open ccengine.exe it gives an unable to start application error!! I tried everything to solve it. I installed contextcapture again, tried different versions of it, tried updating my GPU drivers and downgrading them, I even tried it on different windows versions and on windows 11!! I am literally lost, I need to finish the project and this happens!! If someone can help me literally right now it would be so much appreciated!!
We suggest you to create a service request and we will contact you.
Bruneau can you suggest a solution please, the project deadline is soon!!!
We also have access to 980ti and there are no such issues. But it seems CC has blacklisted this GPU and driver(456.71) so it no longer tries to run AI. So this could be an option to downgrade to this driver and disable AI jobs. Have not found much use of so called "AI" anyway so not a big loss. This driver at least is stable.
Maybe it is possible to disable AI in registry:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Bentley\ContextCapture\ContextCapture Desktop\Master
This is what shows in context capture settings. it says it can run ai jobs also if I turn the GPU option in settings on or off it still gives me the error. so what do you sugest me to do now?
I even tried the driver you mentioned now and didn't work either!!! What is happening?!
Don't use Vulkan API if you have single GPU

Maybe try to delete driver and then reinstall. As it says older than 471.00 version will disable AI so you have not correctly installed older driver.
I know you did reinstall CC but we ask you to do a clean installation.
Which means to uninstall it and make sure that the ContextCapture folder in C:\Program Files\Bentley is correctly removed by the uninstall. If not you need to remove it manually.
Then launch a new install with "admin mode". Right on installer and choose "Run as administrator".
When all that is done, start CC and Engine in admin mode too. Right click on CC/CC engine icon and choose "Run as administrator".
Let us know if this helps.
