I have been trying to process photos from a recent UAV flight to create a 3D model, and my PC has been unexpectedly rebooting every time I try to submit the new 3D reconstruction. The aerotriangulation processes fine but when I get to the reconstruction, the Engine will start and run for a brief period of time but then my PC will all of a sudden reboot. I've tried four or five times and most of the time it happens within 30 seconds after the engine starts. It did run for about 30 minutes on one attempt before rebooting. It's not just the ContextCapture program crashing...........it's my whole computer. Has anybody seen this before?
Hello. I'm still having the same issue even after my OIT guy has run numerous tests, including the OCCTP program. The Windows TDR is disabled and the power supply has checked out okay along with the memory. The GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce GT and it seems to have a good connection to the power supply and motherboard. OIT is stumped.
To further clarify, the GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 with 8BG of RAM. The machine is a Dell Precision 3630 with an Intel Core i7-8700K (6 cores).
What is the spec of the power supply that you are using? Have you confirmed that tit meets the minimum required for the GTX 1080? I believe that the Dell Precision 3630 comes with a 265W power supply as a standard. This would ned to be upgraded to at least 50W for the GTX 1080 according to the specs that I can find.
Good to know......thank you. I will check on what power supply I have. I assume you meant that I would have to upgrade to 500W?
yes, at least The nearest that Dell have that is compatible.
Thank you for your help. I will let my OIT contact know.
