In some of our productions we have been having this error on the final step of a production. Resubmitting sometimes fixes the issue, but other times the production must be deleted and submitted again in order to finish.
The error comes with no explanation and I could not find anything about it in the documentation or online. Help would be much appreciated.

Yes, it is true that resubmitting can resolve the matter. The reason why being that when a job is resubmitted, the engine will do calculation differently and resulting in a production success.
The best for you is to create a Service request and attach a log file to it so we can investigate on this.
There is a known issue with LOD across tiles feature on update 19, be sure to get the last update as it 's been fixed with the hotfix published after the update 19.
