Hello!
I tried to change a Classification of pont in Descartes SS3 as it was shown in movies and described in Help. But it doesn't work. Maybe is here any specific thing in this process?
In my point cloud all in class Unclassified and can change the collor for this class only, and can not set another class for selected area of poins (I've tried to select it by block, shape and slab).
Maybe anybody can guess the reasons of it?
Thanks for advanse,
Elena
Hi. Although I'm not sure what the problem is, you could verify that your dgn file is opened in read-write mode as the edit classification tool isn't available in read-only. Also make sure your point cloud is in the active model, not in a reference.
You have probably done this, but for the sake of completeness also verify that you changed the point cloud presentation mode (in the View Attributes) to Classification otherwise the edits you make won't appear on screen.
Hope this helps,
Martin
I just tested and this seems to work OK. Can you detail your exact steps?
1) Select Classification tool from Point Cloud - Advanced toolbox
2) Select the point cloud if not already selected
3) Make sure the filter is selected correctly, typically All Classes
4) Make sure Set as is set to the target class
5) Select the method for selection. A rectangular shape is the default
6) Select the area of the point cloud
7) The area will change to that classification.
8) Make sure the colors are different for each classification. This can be set in View Attributes.

Hi Keith and Martin!
Thanks for so quick answers.
I've checked all according to your remarks, but it doesn't work anyway. You can see in attached video what I was doing.
There was a small yellow exclamation in the message area. Can you click on that and see what it says?
It was from previous activity. I repeat it just now and there was no any exclamation.
