Will we get a Descartes SS4, which we can install at a Microstation SS3 ? - If Powerdraft is a certified platform - why not Microstation ?

This is a question to ask the Bentley support, but as I see you may download a "Standalone" Descartes SS4"!

There will be a MicroStation SS4 available in the upcoming months to use with Descartes SELECTSeries 4 (see www.bentley.com/.../descartes+ss4.htm for more information).

Well, of course I have asked Support first, but until now, they were not able to answer.
The question about the Standalone Descartes SS4 would be, if that is a different product (probably), which is not covered by the Select contract of exisiting Descartes customers.
Furthermore, today in the morning, a download of Descartes SS4 and a special MS version (SS3 Update 1) appears for Select Download:

But the readme continues to display this:
This Descartes version cannot be installed on MicroStation V8i SS3.

So I hope, this is an error in the readme, which is repeated in various other Bentley Documents at the Website, since none is certifiying MS as Platform.
Maybe the product Manager could clarify the situation ?
Up until yesterday there were no available version of MS that were compatible with Descartes SS4. The version of MS I added as Descartes dependency (MS 08.11.09.397) is newly available for Descartes users and can only be obtained when downloading Descartes SS4.
The readme is my error, I should have change the readme yesterday. I will do that shortly.
You can safely use Descartes SS4 on this MicroStation. The same Descartes will also be compatible when an MS SS4 will be released.
About Descartes Standalone, You were right, it require a different license and you cannot be used with your old Descartes license. Descartes Standalone is more expensive and does include a full version of MicroStation.
