Hi Bill,

A 64 Bit version of Bentley Pointools is not available yet but is in the pipeline. I agree with Mathieu; a 64 Bit system will not necessarily speed your process up but it will make it easier for you to work with larger datasets.

I doubt that a 64 bits version would speed things significantly.

Hello Mathieu.

The request cames from a University here in Greece that uses Pointools for processing 3D Scanning data. The user of the product complaints that although he has a 64bit memory card the product can't process the POD files very quickly. I saw in Product Downloads that there is a 64bit version of Pointools. Do you think that it can solve the problem?

Hi Bill,

Not sure about the answer, but I would like to mention that the 32 bits version of Pointools is already able to handle very large POD files even if the size of the data cannot reside in memory.
