Hi All
I am trying to get building hights (elements) thematicly height displayed from the STM height (ground elevation) but the function is only showing the height from elevation 0 (zero).
Is this possible to do somehow??
Regards
Tom
Hi Tom,
Do you mean you want to display the thematic of the buildings without considering the elevation of the terrain patches they have build upon (e.g. : two buildings having 20 meters each should be colored the same even if the basement of one is at 10 meters and the other at 30)?
Unfortunately I don`t think it is possible (we certainly didn`t do anything regarding the STM for such a functionality).
The easy workaround would be to create a new .DGN and place all your buildings` basement at the same elevation.

Mathieu
Hi Mathieu
Thats exactly what I mean, It would be nice functionality in Descartes and very useful in many ways. For example to see the height of trees in forest areas from point cloud, building heights etc.
The information above stm ground model is the most interresting for many things, to show height from zero is interresting for ground (terrain) but useless for information above ground (terrain).
The workaround you suggested is not possible with thousends of buildings or Point cloud information.
So this Thread changes to an hopefully future CR request for Descartes !!
Thanks
Tom, I filed the Enhancement request for you.
