When I and make changes to my raster image I get the message “Raster image is read-only” and I am unable to edit my raster image. When I look in Raster Manager it shows a check mark in the Read-Only column for the raster image.
Raster images cannot be modified in Descartes if they are set to Read-Only mode. Some raster image types cannot not set to Read/Write mode because they are priority formats that Bentley System Inc . does not have permits to modify. For example MrSID, ECW, JP2, PDF and Ingr TIF images.
When user attaches their raster image make sure “Open as read-only” is not marked at the bottom of the Attach Raster Reference box.
Read-Only option can be set in Workspace > Preferences > Raster Manager > Default Attributes > Set Default Attributes. In the Action section change “Attach Raster Read-Only” to No.
If raster image is already attached as Read-Only you can do the following.
1.) In Raster Manager double click on the check mark under the Read-Only column.
2.) Double click on the raster image name in Raster Manager. This will bring us an Element Information box. In the Image section change Read-Only to No.
