Automatically Load Descartes When Starting MicroStation

    Applies To
    Product(s): Bentley Descartes for MicroStation
    Version(s): 08.11.09.601
    Environment: N\A
    Area: General
    Subarea: N\A

    Problem Description

When I go into MicroStation I want Descartes to be loaded.

    Steps to Resolve

1.)        Open a design file in MicroStation
    2.)        Workspace > Configuration
3.)        In the center find MS_DGNAPPS
4.)        Select MS_DGNAPPS and select Edit

5.)        Change Edit Mode: to Append
6.)        In the New Value area enter DCARTES.MA

7.)        Select OK to edit out of menu
8.)        Select Yes to save change to .UCF file

    9.)        Exit MicroStation

When you go back into MicroStation it will start Descartes automatically.

NOTE:   If you use the “=”  then it will wipe out any values places in the MS_DGNAPPS variable defined for MicroStation at install time.

    Another option:

You can add lines to untitled.UCF file (This would be the userspace that you are using if Untitled is not being used when you go into MicroStation)
