With the Bentley Descartes for MicroStation 08.11.09.601 release the new installation program allows users to install Descartes, which can be used with more than one Power Platform Product. Previous Descartes installations only allowed users to use Descartes with one Power Platform Product.
With the Bentley Descartes for MicroStation 08.11.09.601 release users lost the ability to fully install and configure Descartes for MicroStation using a command line. It is still possible to do a silent install of the product, but once installed, it won't be configured for any Power Platform Products. Admins now have to manually open the "Set Core Products" dialog to configure Descartes on each machine.
The Admin will now have to do the following after the Bentley Descartes for MicroStation installation has completed. • Start > All Programs > Bentley > Bentley Descartes Platform Configuration • Mark the Power Platform products that will be allowed to use Descartes.
