The block is affected by a spherical effect after Aerotriangulation

    Product(s): ContextCapture
    Version(s): 04.00.01.01
    Environment: N\A
    Area: N/A
    Subarea: N\A

    Problem Description

The block is affected by a spherical effect after AT I have a problem when importing my XLS-blockfile

The user acquired a nadir aerial dataset and did follow a specific calibration step

An Aerotriangulation was submitted, the distortion parameters were computed and Photogroup oriented, but the result was not acceptable.

    Steps to Resolve

This kind of dataset results in a spherical deformation due to distortion parameters inaccuracy.

    - To avoid this problem, it is recommended to:
         - Capture a small dataset of any object with the same camera
         - Process an AT on this dataset by keeping the default settings
         - Export the optical properties of the aero-triangulated photogroup
         - Import these optical parameters in your "UAV-photogroup"
         - Submit an AT and make sure to set the distortion parameters on "Keep" instead of "Adjust"
         - The process will take advantage from these more accurate parameters and avoid the spherical effect.
