    Unable to clip WMS images

      Product(s): MicroStation
      Version(s): 08.11.09.829
      Environment: N\A
      Area: Raster
      Subarea: N\A

    Problem

    Unable to clip WMS images

Get Error Message:  Raster image is currently reprojected  when trying to clip a WMS image or a raster image that has been reprojected.

    Solution

XWMS images are reprojected. Currently reprojected images cannot be clipped.  There are 2 options to clip a WMS image.

    Option 1:

    ·         Reference attach the DGN file into another DGN file as a reference. Then in Reference use the clip command to clip the reference file.

    Option 2:

WMS can be clipped if it is re-projected by doing the following steps :

    ·         Double click WMS image name in Raster Manager.  This will bring up an Element Information box

    ·         Under Geometry > Geocoding change the column "Inherit GeoCS From Model" to Inherited

    ·         NOTE:  This will change the location of you WMS image in your DGN file

    ·         Clip the WMS.

    ·         Under Geometry > Geocoding change the column "Inherit GeoCS From Model" to Not Inherited

    • NOTE: This will change the location of you WMS image in your DGN file
    • Clip the WMS.
    • Under Geometry > Geocoding change the column "Inherit GeoCS From Model" to Not Inherited
