Creating a Uniquemesh After Generating Initial Model in ContextCapture

      Product(s): ContextCapture
      Version(s): All
      Environment: Windows 10,Windows 8/8.1,Windows 7 64 bit
      Area: Production
      Subarea: N\A

I have generated an initial model. Do I need to set off a new production to create the UniqueMesh?.

    Steps to Accomplish

It is possible to create a unique-mesh (LOD across tiles) event if the option was not selected initially. To do this do the following

    1. Create a new Production in the same Reconstruction with the option enabled. This must be on precisely the same tiles as the initial production.

    2. This will create two files named “GenerateLOD.bat” and “Tiles.txt” in the production folder. Once these are created, the production can be cancelled

    3. Copy and Paste these two files in the original production folder, where we want to create the Uniquemesh. This should be like the display in the image below:

    4. Right click and select edit to change/check the following parameters in the bat file:

    •  --scene change it to the real production name
    •  -- format make sure it is set to the relevant one (3sm or 3mx)
    •  --tileOverlap set it to the actual value of this production
    •  --tilingSRS and –outputSRS double check that they are set to the good values
    •  --jobFile “path\task_def_0.bin” Delete all this information

    5. Save the bat file

    6. Make sure that the file tiles.txt contains all the tiles for this production. We should also have the tiles box details if the tiling parameter is set to Adaptive

    7. Run the GenerateLOD.bat file by double-clicking on it.
