    Annotations (Technology Preview)

Annotations are useful for documenting observations against a Reality Data, whether they were made on-site or virtually. To get started, open a Reality Data in the Reality Data Web Viewer.

    Create a Pin Annotation

    1) In the Reality Data Web Viewer's upper corner, click the "Annotation Tool" icon, and select "Add Annotation Pin".

    2) A Tool Settings dialog opens at the top of the window.

2.1) Use the "Reality Data" drop-down to select the name of the Reality Data you want to annotate.

2.2) Use the "Group" drop-down to select the group you want to add the annotation into.

Note: Go to the Reality Data Web Viewer's Preferences to manage Annotation groups.

2.3) Use the "Use Group Color" toggle to use the selected group’s default color.

2.4) Use the "Color" color picker to select a color for the annotation.

    3) Click on the model at the location where you want to place an annotation.

    4) The "Annotation Properties" open automatically. Use this form to document the annotation. Use the "Save" button in the form's upper-right corner to save the annotation when completed.

    Create a Box Annotation

    1) In the Reality Data Web Viewer's upper corner, click the "Annotation Tool" icon, and select "Add Annotation Box".

    3) Draw a box on the model around the object you want to annotate.

3.1) Click on the model around the object to draw a shape.

3.2) Click the shape's first point to close it.

3.3) Click on the purple arrows and move the mouse up/down to define the box's height.

    4) The "Annotation Properties" open automatically. Use this form to document the annotation. Use the "Save" button in the form's upper-right corner to save the annotation when completed.

    Find and visualize Annotations
