&lt;p&gt;Model by Section is a powerful concept to digitize linear features. A variety a features can be processed such as: breaklines, rails, tunnels, bridges...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The concept is to generate cross sections of a linear element by fitting a geometric template in a point cloud cross section view of the linear feature.&lt;/p&gt;
