This enhancement is still open, if you file SRs requesting that we address the matter it will increase its prioritization. A number of parameters are involved, it is not just the SR count, but the number of SRs linked to a defect or enhancement is one indication of demand.

File a Service Request, and reference the Enhancement number. Add your name to the petition to get it included. That's all I know.

Was this ever resolved? I am on OpenRoads Designer 10.08.01.33 and am currently running into this.

Thanks, Chris. I'm using the Customize Ribbon box to define the ribbon buttons in the dgnlib, and then I'll disseminate the dgnlib file so others get those ribbon buttons to run tools from. Using "BackStage | Settings | User | Customize Ribbon" opens the Customize Ribbon box too. So I don't know how the result would be different. The problem is that editing ribbon buttons in there results in things accumulating in its "Choose components from:" list, which is non-optimum in this particular case.

To me, the customize ribbon tab should only for pushing (read displaying) custom tools to the ribbon interface. For creating/editing/deleting the tools themselves you would use the standard 'Customize Tools' dialog from Backstage->Settings->Customize.

So if you create your tools first, you can then quickly access the customize ribbon dialog from the Utilities menu. Note, that if you create or delete a tool after opening the customize ribbon dialog, you would have to close and reopen it to refresh the list.

Additional info: MicroStation CONNECT Update 1 (10.01.00.13) still has this problem.

Has anybody else run into this? Bentley confirmed that it happens, but it'd be nice to know if someone has a workaround.
