Hello Community!
I have to configure a new project and I want to use the configuration I have of another one, how can I change the routes of the new project in the ucf, upf?
Would you be able to supply details of the software and version so we can assist appropriately.
If this is related to the configuration of workspaces in plain MicroStation V8i and relating to the networking of them then this Wiki article might be of assistance.

If you have moved to using MicroStation CONNECT Edition there are other considerations that may need to be looked at.

Any extra details you could provide including example files relating to your projects or workspaces would be most appreciated.

We are using Microstation Powerdraft v8i select series 3
We have another problem: when we have configured ucf file, now it appears " hardcoded location"
What exactly are you trying to do and what are you hoping to accomplish?
You begin by talking about projects. Then you start talking about UCF files.
These are two different files, processed at different times in the configuration, intended for two different purposes.
Is your workspace on a network? Are your projects on a network? Are you trying to define project based information? Are you trying to determine options for each user?

Hi Consuelo,
Please can I suggest that you download Bentley Configuration Explorer and run it on your system.
Once installed, click on Home tab > Process Configuration.
Pick the appropriate Application, user and an existing Project that works as you require, then click Process.
Once the process has completed the number of files, variables, etc will be displayed.
Click the Save icon in the quick access toolbar at the top right, save the Workspace File (.bcf) and post to this discussion.
We can then load it into configuration explorer here and review your configuration, this should help us to give you some more specific advice once we understand how your system is set up.
