Multiple workspaces in a network accessed by Microstation and Powerdraft

We are trying to optimize our workflow and therefore want to introduce workspaces (one for each client), worksets (one for each project) and accordingly created seed files. We use Microstation Connect 6 and Powerdraft Connect 5. We set up a few workspaces on our network drive (from one machine) and now I have the following questions:

a) how can all my collagues access these workspaces? They don't show automatically and won't even show after opening a file attached to an existing workspace on a machine other than the one it was created on.

b) is there a way for them to automatically access newly created workspaces?

c) is there an option to store the files that were created in the workspace root directory in a "central" folder in the workspace?

Is this structure any good at all for our purpose? We have several clients with very strict and different design requirements for their drawings.

We have found a German wiki for this. It suggests to reinstall everything and choose a "central" organization folder etc. - is there a way to set up this structure without de- and reinstallation, maybe when updating to Connect 7?

    If you are happy that your Custom Configuration is set up correctly you can edit the file:

    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\<applicationName>\Configuration\ConfigurationSetup.cfg

    on existing installations.

    Add the location of your custom configuration to line 21, e.g:

    _USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION= <drive letter or UNC share path>/CONFIGURATIONS/CE/

    and the value at line 26 to its default:

    _USTN_CONFIGURATION = $(_USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION)

    Entering the location of the Custom Configuration during the installation of Update 7 (which is now available for MicroStation) will do the same thing.

    A separate WorkSpace for each of your clients containing a WorkSet for each project is one of the exact scenarios which the new configuration is designed to support.

    I'm not sure what you mean in question c, are you referring to the example projects? If so they are best left on the local drive for use with our training material.
