I first asked this question here but as Jan pointed out it was totally of topic. So, way is it I can't use numbers as first key when configuring shortcuts in microstation connect? Just get a "Numbers cannot be used in top-level shortcuts"-error.

RE: Use numbers as first key in shortcuts

Very cool tip, thank!. I noticed it appears when you hit the tab key, odd.

RE: Use numbers as first key in shortcuts

Update. I noticed that if you hold down the alt-key and press a number when you try to add a new key the number is added to the list (invisable until you deselect it), even as first level.

RE: Use numbers as first key in shortcuts

Hi. Yes i know. Difference is that I could use e.g my main tasks across microstation, and that way make sure my most important tasks where accessible by pressing the same keys. And position mapping only take me half way. Cant for instance edit the ribbon that appears when selecting a building element in AECOSim building desginer, and thus not change the position mapping there.

It gets very hard to work if I in microstation (we use both) can select an element, and then by my own position mapping (wtih the need to press only 2 keys, not 3 as default) can move that element. But when in aecosim the preset ribbon prevents me from doing just that.

So since position mapping dont work as expected, (and I read in another tread that it actually just overwrites my keyboard shortcuts) i'm trying to find new ways. And the keyboard shortcuts seemed very good until I notice it can't use numbers. (I want to keep the first level keys up in the left corner of the keyboard, without overwrite the old shortcuts i'm used to) Don't see why you just made number available, why take away the possibilities it opens, when there's no reason to keep them out?

RE: Use numbers as first key in shortcuts

Hi Robert. These items that are titled "Keyboard Shortcuts" are what was previously titled "AccuDraw Shortcuts". I do not believe numerical values have ever been able to be used here.

But since position mapping don't work independently on which tab you're in, I need to setup these shortcuts instead. But it would be great to have numbers at top level accessible as well.
