I have my V8i Task menu docked in MCE. It is a very extensive and productive Task menu. Menu selections work when I bring up my MCE *.dgnlib file, but don't work in a regular MCE model file. As example, in V8i (and in *.dgnlib) selecting "Keynote" would establish correct text style, color, arrow extension, and level. Other selections would bring up cells on the correct level. What's missing"? Is there a way to reassert the task items? Tall image is of the Task menu. Square image is menu customize dialogue. Horizontal image is blowup of customize properties..
Hi Robert,
if you have that extensive customizations done for V8i then I would recommend that you do the hard craft now and embrace the new Ribbon system in Microstation CE. As the development of MicroStation CE progresses most of the tools that you have made the customizations for will change slightly in behaviour or be removed completely. Development can also choose to stop MicroStation CE from supporting the old Task Menus at any stage without prior notice. That will mean that all your hard work of getting your old task menus working in MS CE will be lost.
Check these 2 Bentley WIKI's for more information on how to customize the Ribbon.
