Having spent some time trying to resolve a speed issue with CEU9 and re-building my standards.cf the first time I try to open a file I get this:
Why?
I have noted in another thread that this folder doesn't exist. Why does CE think it does?
This is beyond frustrating!!
Hi Stuart,

I don't quite understand your information: MicroStation does not think the folder exists, but some variable (as I recall the mentioned discussion, is it MS_DEF?) is defined in such way, so it tells you that it does not exist.
To understand how the workspace is defined, msdebug should be created and analyzed ... but my experience with CE is that quite often msdebug is just the first step and the next one should be to make a final conclusion with running MicroStation.

Well I've removed all the .cfg's from the install folders and things seem to be working OK. Seems a bit extreme having to do that though :-)
what does that mean exactly ?

Exactly as it says. All cfg's now gone!!
which ones ?? the delivered program ones ? the delivered configuration ones ? and what specifically is meant by "install folders" ?
