I am just about to swap over my software from PowerDraft to a recently vacated Aecosim licence due to a member of staff leaving. [I have given up on PowerDraft Connect until they resolve speed and reliability]
In the past I have been able to migrate my user interface reasonably successfully from one installation to another. Will there be any issues with Powerdraft SS3 to Aecosim SS6?
What is the quickest way to do it to avoid me having to set all of my configs and interface settings from scratch?
Hi Keith,
The answer depends on how you have set up your PowerDraft customisations. Pleas tell us more about what you have done.
Also will you be using AECOsim in MicroStation mode (form the MicroStation Building Designer shortcut) or in full ABD mode?
Marc
Hi Marc, thanks for responding. We setup up individual interfaces for each user to suit their own working methods, and we just have everything set up on "untitled" interfaces etc...I know we should do things in other ways but we've never got round to it. I have been able to successfully transfer all personalised interfaces from PowerDraft to PowerDraft so I know the files to look for to transfer.
I had to just reset my interfaces on AECOsim as I had to get working. However, we do have on emore to convert so a quic solution would be appreciated. Yes, we use the Microstation mode as well....
The locations are similar in AECOsim. Exactly what custom resources/setting do you have in PowerDraft?
Note that PowerDraft CE Update 10 was released a few days ago with a number of enhancements that address performance.
