How can I add additional content installers to the deployment image created using the /Layout option

I am not sure whether you ask how to configure what parts of standard installation should be included or whether you can merge more different installations released separately into one deployment package.

I guess i want to be able to include additional installs within the package

I'm used to having the option from certain other software vendors, that during creation of the deployment image you are given the option of including additional files or exe / msi

I think it's not possible. The /layout option does not change anything in the installation procedure, it "only" creates offline package.

Maybe somebody with insight into installation script knows a tweak or workaround how to merge more installers into one, but I do not recall any such discussion. My feeling is, but I am not IT administrator, an expected approach is to queue the individual installers using standard Windows installation tools.

Hi Chris,

There was an option to do this in early CONNECT edition releases (may just have been EAP, I'm not sure if it made it to the Commercial Release). We may well have decided that it was unnecessary to duplicate the functionality available in software management tools, as Jan mentions.
