I'm working with a customer to move them from MicroStation V8i to MicroStation CONNECT. In one of their Site level configuration files they are setting MS_PROCESSORS = 1. I know that the configuration file is likely 10-15 years old, or at least parts of it are.
I know that 10 or so years ago the recommendation was to set MS_PROCESSORS to 1 but haven't been able to find any current recommendations.
For computers running an i7 chip with Windows 10 (or possibly Windows 8) what would be the current recommendation?
If the value should be something other than 1 is it better to just remove the MS_PROCESSORS setting and let the default value be used or best to set it?
Thanks,
Mike
Per Barry Bentley:
MicroStation simply pays no attention to MS_PROCESSORS anymore, so it doesn’t matter what you set it to. That was used by the display system prior to V8i, so it’s been a while since it was relevant.

So Leonard's suggestion of removing MS_PROCESSORS is correct.

I guess setting this configuration variable forces MicroStation to use single threaded operations. MS_PROCESSORS = 1
Better to remove this setting/variable.
