The Explorer – Part Five: The Sheet Index tab

So my question to this blog https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/b/microstation_blog/posts/the-explorer-part-five-the-sheet-index-tab is why do you have to have a workset to have a sheet index. Surely you can have a Sheet Index without one?

  • When you create a Sheet Index this is being stored in the .dgnws file which is the Workset file.

"When you create a WorkSet, a sheet index is automatically created in the DGN WorkSet file (.dgnws) for that WorkSet.  The .dgnws stores the WorkSet Sheet Index, WorkSet Properties, custom WorkSet Properties, and the WorkSet Link Set."
