Back in v8i any files with the .cfg extension located in the path defined by _USTN_SITE would be read. In CONNECT Edition is there a similar variable that works the same?
Unlike V8i, CE has a number of different levels for cfg files:
CE
# 0) System Level# 1) Application Level# 2) Organization Level# 3) WorkSpace Level# 4) WorkSet Level# 5) Role Level# 6) User Level
V8i
# 0) System Level# 1) Application Level# 2) Site Level# 3) Project Level# 4) User Level
Depending on how you're setting up the build, Organisation would be your base for any replacement for site.
#----------------------------------------------------------------------# The _USTN_ORGANIZATION is for configuration files and data used throughout the user organization.#----------------------------------------------------------------------_USTN_ORGANIZATION : $(_USTN_CONFIGURATION)Organization/
followed by:
#----------------------------------------------------------------------# Set default locations for WorkSpace Standards and WorkSet.#----------------------------------------------------------------------_USTN_WORKSPACEROOT : $(_USTN_WORKSPACESROOT)$(_USTN_WORKSPACENAME)/_USTN_WORKSPACESTANDARDS : $(_USTN_WORKSPACEROOT)Standards/
hi Sean
I probably didn't explain what I am looking for.
In v8i I removed all variables from the Project.pcf config file and put them into various cfg files. _USTN_SITE reads these files in order. How can I do the same in connect without using an include statement in each config file?
If you have a look at MS_CONFIG it's easy to follow, but the list above sets it out.
Instead of project we now have:
# 3) WorkSpace Level# 4) WorkSet Level
Got to admit, because of the way I want thing to load and miss user changes I don't use this method, but I would have a look at setting:
_USTN_WORKSPACECFG
_USTN_WORKSETCFG
The rest is going to be dependant on how you define the other variables.
_USTN_ORGANIZATION has taken the place of _USTN_SITE
Placing all the config files in the ORGANIZATION folder should function as you need it to (this folder is similar to V8i's STANDARDS folder)

# 2) Organization Level
THe organization level basically is what site is in v8i. Any .cfg file in the organization folder will be read.
