I have a customer Workspace that contains a list of Worksets. These worksets are for the customers differnt crafts. We are using mainly one particular craft.
When I am Picking this customers Workspace I Always get the first workset alphabetically. (I renamed the first one and now I am obviously get the next one) So I have to scroll down the list of worksets and select the Right one down the list.to make sure I am working with the correct crafts workset. I would like to get our "preferred" craft selected.
I tried "_ustn_worksetname = >CRAFT<" in the Customer_workspace.cfg, but this config var is not steering me there.
Dgn files are branded to the workspace/workset they go with. Can you just double-click the dgn and have it open straight to the workset?
Gerd,
Can you use a shortcut with the -wk<WORKSPACE> -ww<WORKSET> switches?https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/8873/microstation-command-line-options-and-switches

Thats fine, I just want to do it the other way around. Select a workset to work in. Then open the file; or create a new file.
The bulk of files has not yet been branded. They are pre-Connect. We also will get a constant stream of thrird Party files that Need to be assinged to the right project.
I rather would not have a bunch of Icons on the desktop which are hardly discernable. I open microStation, select the Workspace (customer Environment) and then the Workset (craft or project) If you work in different Environments that appears to me a staight workflow.
Hi Gerd,
How does it know the correct craft? If "User A" is to use "Craft X" and "User B" "Craft Y" is there a variable (or something) outside MicroStation that knows the relationship between user and craft?
