At every app startup, I get the typical windows 10 prompt "Am I sure I want to allow this app to make changes to the device?" This doesn't seam normal to me.
What might be the cause?
It maybe that your Windows "User Account Control" setting is set very high.
So I adjusted the user account control to the lowest setting (not off) still get the message. What does windows think the software ois doing? this does not seam normal. and I did not get this message for first few days. I have never gotten this message with previous versions of microstation. No changes to Windows ten settings were made that I am aware of.
I am concerned about Microstation CE saving tool settings etc. if it is attempting to reset or reinstall at every startup. BTW this is a recent new install within last three days.
I have already attempted to uninstall and cleared all temporary files I could find, and reinstalled. still getting the message.
Thanks
I only see that message when I'm installing something. How are you starting Microstation? If you're using a shortcut, try clicking on a dgn file in explorer. Could be Bentley left some junk in the start-up shortcut or ???

Bob, Yes it is the same message typical of an app install. This is what is so confusing. I tried starting from the shortcut, the actual .exe file, and an existing microstation document file. All produce the install alert "Am I sure...."
Also, If I answer the "Am I sure" question with a "no" response, the Microstation CE app closes down.
