Hi Folks,
I have some *.gsb files for Geographic coordinate transformation. How do I add these to the library of installed files that appear in Geographic Coordinate Systems> Select Geographic Coordinate System.?
I can find SOME of the installed GSB files in C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\GeoCoordinateData\UK\ but this area seem incomplete and it appears that various transformations available in the Library don't appear in this area at all.
I did find this suggestion from some years ago but it seems a rather long winded way to go about things. I haven't tried it yet.

It does suggest that transformation files should be provided to Bentley for inclusion in future releases but this is not helpful when the information is proprietary.
All advice gratefully received,
Thanks,
Neil.
I would think that these types of modification or changes relating to Geographic Coordinate Systems are not something we would recommend performing in plain MicroStation. I would suggest if you wanted to make changes to your GCS or add items that do not exist then this should be performed in the OpenCities Map. This blog post is from a former Bentley colleague and from over 5 years ago. You might like to ask this question on the forum that supports Bentley Map | OpenCities Map.

HI Andrew, yes, this is one of the approaches I'm looking at now, still waiting for Bentley Sales to get back to me regarding OpenCities Map.
