for some reason save settings is not working in my files. I am turning off levels in one of the referenced files, and do a save settings, but everytime I open the file, these levels are back on. I have tried doing the "set refloverides on" through the key in, and then saved the settings, but this doesn't hold either. every time I open the file back up, the levels show back up and "set refloverides" is turned back to off. does anyone know of something I can try next?
It's also possible that your configuration is set up to sync certain level properties back to the DGNLIB - that's controlled by the MS_LEVEL_AUTO_SYNC_ATTRIBUTE_LIST variable. Take a look and see if anything is defined there. It could be part of the headache.

That might be it. Since Global Display is one of the Sync settings, your file may be pulling that value from your DGNLIB and overwriting your design file value. Try using Global Freeze to turn your levels off, and see if that "holds" between sessions.
