The definitions for both of MS_DEF and _USTN_WORKSETDGNS is the same - Search Path for design files.
What's the difference between the two?
Which one takes precedence if they are both defined?
[on my box] MS_DEF is $(_USTN_WORKSETDGNS). So in that way, ustn_worksetdgns takes precedence. It's really there to change the path when you change Workset

I get that, but why are there two variables that appear do the same thing?
There must be a difference, or is the older MS_DEF just obsolete.

In V8i MS_DEF > $(_USTN_SITE)dgn/ set in (out of the box) standards.cfg.
In CE it is set to its equivalent in msconfig.cfg as MS_DEF = $(_USTN_WORKSETDGNS)
I'm assuming this is largely for backward compatibility with any remaining legacy use of MS_DEF.
