I have two questions about Connection Client compatability:
I am asking cause we built an install package that locks down the app to not show any notifications for updates including Connection Client updates. So knowing/understanding if there are any compatability issues would help us understand if we should be updating the stand alone Connection Client install package or remove/modify the MicroStation Connect update 14 install.

Yes buit st's highly recommended that you keep the connection client up to date. Some of the older versions no longer work as they look at old websites that are no longer used.

You can create deployment images of new client versions independent from the version of microstation installed:
