Hi all
I have a small question.
My company is in the middle of the intregration to CONNECT and in that connection my question comes up.
I have a long list of Cell libraries. Is there any way I can choose the order of the cells in the drop down list?
Best regards Louise
Hi Louise,
When you define paths to cells libraries using MS_CELLLIST in your configuration you can use a pre-pend or append operator to control which libraries are read first: e.g.:
MS_CELLLIST < ....\name.cel
MS_CELLLIST > ....\name.cel
If you have multiple CFG files containing MS_CELLLIST the order in which they are read will also affect the order of the list.
The last pre-pend statement to be read will appear at the top of the list in the cell dialog.

does the list need to be so long ? do you need access to every one of those cell libraries for every project and every file you work on ?
or - could you limit the list based on the project being worked on ? (IE: Project 43546 only needs to see 15 of the cell libraries)
If this is the case you might want to look at loading the MS_CELLLIST variable per Workspace/Workset and only populate the variable with the needed cell libraries.
