We have recently moved over from V8i SS3 Microstation to Powerdraft Connect. We have found that the 'File' dialog (below) appears to be very slow. Obviously, with the frequency we use this dialog, it is having a cumulative impact on our work. Are there any settings that can be turned off to make this dialog appear more rapidly, such as turning off file previews or can we switch to a simpler more traditional file drop-down instead of the overlay?
For me, the file button takes about a second to appear once clicked. For one of my colleagues working remotely via VPN it takes 10-15 seconds. I assume it must be something to do with the file previews?
Any help would be much appreciated.

What version of PowerDraft are you using? The earlier versions of CONNECT were very slow in this regard and performance has improved with newer releases
The other thing is that working over a VPN will indeed take longer, some VPN connections are slower than others.

I've already just discovered the turn off thumbnail in the 'look and feel', which I think has already sped my 'file' dialog up. Haven't had a chance to check this with my colleague yet though.
Is there anything else we can do to streamline the dialog?
You can right click on the files and select Remove from list.
Just keep the ones listed you are actively working on.
