I've created a new workflow, and started to add some existing tabs to build a hybrid GUI ribbon of MicroStation tools and custom tools. When I add the standard tabs from the the available list, it never saves the added tabs or randomly discards tabs I've added. Every time I open MicroStation it could be different. I haven't been able to add any new customized tools as I can't get the standard tabs to consistently open in any manner. I also can't seem to delete a workflow I created by mistake. It will not remove despite me deleting it several times. Any ideas how to resolve this? Can .dgnlibs become corrupt?
Greg
Hi Greg,
These tabs are saved in a dgn/dgnlib file. One thing to check is which file you have open when you modify the ribbon. If you have your gui dgnlib open, then it should keep your settings. If you have a normal dgn file, then the setting may only show when you have that file open.

It could be the "ribbon state" xml in the user pref folder (appdata/Local/Bentley) holding on to it for some reason. Check out this BentleyLearn video to see if it offers any suggestion to what else could be causing it.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your reply. Yep, I was in our gui.dgnlib file, but it was really behaving strangely. It seems to be working now so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks again,
Hi Shawn,
Thanks for reminding me about this location. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary in the appdata folder. I did end up rebooting and restarting CE and it seems to be working now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The video link was also helpful. Thanks again,
