Fair enough. They are going to need to know which client the project is for anyways, so extra icons probably are overkill.

I'm overthinking this all, aren't I?

I get trying to make things easier for the user, but does 25 plus icons on the desktop really help ?

Let the users make the choice when starting the product and getting to the work page. As you stated, they will still need to make a choice for the workset anyway.

In a word: yes.

ORD will remember the last WorkSpace and WorkSet selected. Once a user makes their initial selection, that will be the default set for the next time they launch ORD.

You can also make use of the Recent WorkSets panel on the left side of the WorkPage. The most often used can be pinned there.

have you tried just using the workspace switch ? and no workset.
