Seem to be getting a APPCRASH in Windows Explorer when doing a search. The crash indicates Fault Module Name: DgnFileIO.dll version 1.0.1.22. Any ideas as to why a Windows Explorer search would indicate DgnFileIO.dll.
I am on windows 7 and using Internet Explore 9.
Exactly what were you searching on when the crash occurred? Also, is this an indexed folder?
I was searching for a missing folder on a network drive. It is not an indexed folder. The network drive is about 1.3 T bytes.

Does this occur when searching on other folders or it this specific to a certain name?
The issue has happened several times when searching other folders. No it is not specific to a certain name.
Please provide the following information to help clarify the issue:
Windows 7.
My guess is when we went to windows 7 earlier this year.
I have been searching my C drive for the dgnfileIO.dll, Still searching for the last 1 1/2 hours I have only found one instance labeled DgnFileIO2.dll two labeled DgnFileIO.dgn.
I have attached what I think is a txt error file. Maybe that will help.
Here is my search results for DgnFileIO.dll
Can you verify that Bentley DGN Reader for Windows 7 has been installed? This is avaible at:
www.bentley.com/.../DGN+Reader+Windows7.htm
I do not see Bentley Dgn Reader for Windows 7 in All programs or in the installed list of programs:
Reggie,
Should I install DGN Reader for windows 7 to see if this solves my issue? Is that what your suggesting?
I was checking to see see if you had DGN Reader installed. It appears that you do not. It is not necessary to install this at this time.
Try doing the search again but make sure your view is set to "Details" and not to "Icons". I want to remove the thumbnails when doing a search.
Same windows explore crash with details.
Any other ideas? Should I open a ticket with Bentley support?
