When I try to logon to Development System Smart Client I get a Window's message "IvaraClient has stopped working" and system closes.
The client settings xml was corrupted;C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Bentley\IvaraEXP\Settings\dev smart client\6.2\client.xml
When it was opened in notepad, client.xml was totally blank despite the file size being 27KB. Further review revealed that the Ivara related folders in AppData and ProgramData did not allow the user to Read, Write and Modify. So when the client was uninstalled not all files and folder were deleted and those that remained had improper permissions for the user.
Uninstall the Dev Smart Client (Prod and QA worked without issue) and delete all Dev Smart Client related folders and files manually. Also, change the folder permissions to all Ivara\BentleyAPM related folders in c;programdata to read/write/modify. Lastly, reinstall Dev Smart-client from the deployment server. Dev Smart Client should restart without issue.
