User reported that they tried to Initialize a new APM Remote computer they received the following error: "Could not find the initialize package in the database". The sync service seems to create a init.zip in the temp folder of the user, but this file is empty. The user checked other previously installed and initialized APM Remote tablets and they were synchronizing correctly but the initialization would not work for them either. The error appeared suddenly and the user had no issues Initializing prior to this time.
In this case the EXP Remote - Initialization download package was missing. This package is provided in the APM install and must have been deleted manually. Recreating the "EXP Remote - Initialization" download package restored the ability of the user to initialize new APM Remote computers.
To do this:
1. log on the APM as an Administrator
2. go to the Mobile Computing view > Activities (Windows Remote) tab > Download Packages sub tab
3. click the New button and name the new download package as "EXP Remote - Initialization".
4. select "APM Remote - Initialization" as the data structure to use.
5. next go to the Generated SQL tab and click on the "Generate Now" button.
6. save and close the download package dialogue window.
When done you should be able to run the Initialization successfully.
