Log on to APM fails after change to CONNECT ID

Problem

User had to alter their Bentley CONNECT ID due to their email address changing (could be personal or company name change), and can no longer log into APM.

Message will appear:

The user name that you have specified is not valid. Please ensure that you have entered it correctly before contacting your systems administrator. Try again?

Solution

There is a corresponding APM User record in APM which co-ordinates with the CONNECT ID.

The APM User ID must be updated to match the new CONNECT ID.

Go into APM, to Enterprise/Security/Users/Users

Find the user’s old ID:

 and update the User record to update it to the new one. 

 

Related Employee contact info must also be updated.

Go to Employee's site, find his employee record and update email field on Employee's contact info to match the new one:
