Problem

Before today the affected workstation was able to send print jobs to these printers and have them complete within 5 – 10 seconds.  Now experiencing delay of upwards of 75 seconds when selecting an item within the Resource Management - Inventory tab and sending it to a label item print for our three intermec label printers 

After power cycling each printer, power cycling the workstation, removing and re-adding the printers to the workstations and resetting the ivaraprod services on our production servers for Bentley, nothing appears to resolve this issue with label printing delay.

We have also been able to verify functionality on our print server from several systems. The label printers will also accept jobs from standard applications (e.g. notepad) and once properly scaled to label size will then print. 

Solution

For this Service Request, turning off bidirectional support and updating drivers for the printer restored the printing performance.
