Problem Description

An APM user with Assetwise Interop connection to SAP found that Checksheets generated from Standard Tasks were being set with a blank (null) maintenance group and would not process. User needed to manually enter a maintenance group before the checksheet would allow processing.

Solution

When setting up the AWEIS Interop, there were duplicate maintenance groups in SAP. APM needs distinct Maintenance Group names. This distinction is made by adding the site number and the Abbreviation to form the Maitnenance Group name in APM. Until this was corrected, the checksheets in APM would be displaying the blank Abbreviation field. Once this site specific Abbreviation were added the user no longer had the problem of missing maintenance group name on the checksheet.
