New Work Orders and Assets not created in APM via Assetwise Interoperability

 Product(s):APM Implementation and Performance Management

Problem Description

An APM user with Assetwise Interoperability connection to SAP has noted that the new Assets and Work Order stopped being created in APM suddenly after a long period of stable integration. User checked the inbound integration messages for errors and there were none. Bentley Support checked that the Interop service was running and reviewed the error logs to find that there were no new errors.

Solution

When checking the historical trends, it was noted that for several weeks prior, several informational errors would occur daily in the logs but that in recent days the recurrent information errors were not in the logs. This is an indication that the APM Interoperability Service was not receiving messages from BECS. The issue was reported to Interop Brain. The interop team reviewed the RabbitMQ logs which indicated an upstream  problem to BECS team (TSACE). The BECS team reviewed and resolved the issue and restarted the BECS service. New assets and work orders integration messages were then received into APM.
