SAP Gateway user fails to process inbound FLOCs due to license outage

 Version(s):7
 Environment:N/A
 Area:N/A

Problem Description

An APM user with an active SAP Gateway / CMMS Interoperability integration suddenly stopped processing inbound FLOCS into APM Assets. During troubleshooting it was found that the license for the SAP Connector was disabled:

It was found that the product codes had changed but at renewal the incorrect product code was applied for the SAP Connector license.

Solution

The product code for the SAP Connector has since been updated and corrected for the user site. The SAP Gateway is now running and user can process inbound FLOC data loads once more. SAP Functional Location data load messages may not process subsequently if they have already errored. User can try to "reprocess" the messages but this does not always work as there are sometimes subsequent messages for those same assets/FLOCs that have already been processed or assignment to a completed batch. In cases such as these, it is recommended to request a small change in the SAP Functional Location such as adding a "." in the name in SAP. This change will generate a new message data load message that will then bring the Asset up to date in APM.
