APM stops receiving BECS/AWEIS messages due to server space issues on BECS Server

Problem Description

An APM user with Assetwise Interop (AWEIS) connection to SAP noticed that they had not received any new Work Requests, Work Orders/Maintenance Orders and RFW from SAP into APM for several days despite knowing that there had been several status changes in SAP. Upon investigation it was found that the BECS server had run out of space.

Solution

While the server is properly sized, old messages hadn't been purged for several weeks. Cohesive services have develop a scheduled powershell script to run on a scheduled basis to clear-out the old messages.
