SAP Connector license outage does not clear expired license on Job Processing service

Problem Description

An APM user with and SAP Gateway / CMMS Interoperability integration noted that inbound SAP FLOC data load messages were erroring due to a license outage on the SAP Connecter license.

After correcting the License issue and restarting the Job Processing service, the Job Processing service was continuing to error when trying to process inbound SAP FLOC data load messages with the same error.

Solution

Upon expiration of a license, several downstream errors may occur, depending on the license. For most services these licenses may not automatically authenticate post license expiry. For those users using select server release, release prior to 7.12.5, the authentication requires the license (usage) logs to be uploaded to the Bentley Select Server to kick-off the automatic authentication.

For any users using pre 7.12.5 version of APM, should a license expire, please launch a case with APM TSG. Once the license is restored the Technical Support Group can help in getting the expired service(s) license logs sent to the select server.
