    Integration profile

The Integration profile contains many settings to tailor APM's integration behavior.

To create a profile, while in the AssetWise Interoperability Settings dialog shown in the prior section, navigate to the Profile drop-down field, invoke the right-click context menu, and choose 'New'.  That will display the dialog shown below.

Be sure to click OK when you have made all the desired changes.

    General tab

As a rule, you want the name of the profile to identify the CMMS system unambiguously.  This can include a number of aspects:

    • Your company's internal name for the system, such as 'Forge'.
    • The software vendor name or software brand name.
    • The system's status in the system deployment lifecycle
    • The location of the CMMS system

Examples are SAP_Production, Oracle_Dev, and WebBFS_SanGabriel_QA.  In this example, the Profile name is WebBFS.

    Assets tab

The Assets tab indicates which fields will be non-editable even when the APM asset is checked out for editing.

For a customary APM-and-CMMS integration, all fields should be checked.

    Work management (Interop) tab

On the Interop tab, choose the settings appropriate for the work management features.

    Change requests tab

On the Change requests tab, the settings relate to default asset status values in standard scenarios. If using the asset change request functionality, select a status for each.

    Description tab

The description tab allows for lengthy formatted free-form information.

    Usage tab

The usage tab shows which sites have activated this profile.
