eB SELECTSeries 4 Release

eB SELECTseries 4 (version 15.6) available on SELECTservices Online and can be downloaded from http://selectservices.bentley.com/ under 'Select Released Products' download category. eB SELECTseries 4 includes infrastructure improvements and integration support and offers new and improved functionality in the following areas:

Bentley Data Quality Server:

Provides a consistent mechanism for loading data in eB and replaces one-off custom scripts for data loading which saves time and ensures quality of information.
Leverages SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to provide fast and flexible data extraction, and allow users to create repeatable, secure data loads from i-models and external data sources into eB.

Visual Navigation

Browse complex asset information via intuitive 3D models and 2D diagrams.
Cross-navigate information via the web, easily viewing and querying components to have access to accurate information in context for better decision making.

Document Validation

Provides on-site project participants an easy way to determine the validity of PDF documents published from eB, eliminating errors caused by using out of date information.

Printing and Renditioning Enhancements

Allows users to specify a default CTB file in eB to use for printing DWG files when defining a print template
ProjectWise InterPlot Server V8i (SELECTseries 4) is now the server printing and renditioning engine of eB. Spicer is no longer supported.

eB CAD-Connect Enhancements

Provides support for AutoCAD CTB files
Enables eB CAD-Connect support in AutoCAD Map 3D 2012

Improvements to database fail-over support

Provides multiple storage servers to support a single physical repository
Configurations such as Amazon VPC do not support multicast or broadcast and as such cannot be set up with redundant servers

Updated Platform and Version Support

ProjectWise InterPlot Server V8i (SELECTseries 4) (older versions no longer supported)
MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 1) and (SELECTseries 2) (older versions no longer supported)
Internet Explorer 9
Brava! 7.1 (older versions no longer supported)
Kofax Capture 9 and 10 (older versions no longer supported)

Bentley Data Quality Server – Replaces eB Data Quality Manager
Bentley Asset Registry Server – formerly eB Insight Asset Definition Services
Bentley Records Management Server – formerly eB Insight Records Management Services
Bentley Transmittal Services – formerly eB Insight Transmittal Services
Bentley Actions Management Server - Provides the forms, event and workflow capabilities related to managing information in workflows for validation and approval.
