Problem with Lists ** Urgent **

Bentley,

I’m using 15.4.1. When we moved to this version we notified Bentley of a serious problem relating to the physical item list. The problem occurred when a user raised a change request against an approved physical item list document, after implementing it to create a new revision the system would correctly create a new compound document but it would fail to copy the actual list.

This was recognised by Bentley as a valid bug and in this instance (to best of our knowledge it was not fixed) but instead we were issued with a SQL event handler that would be run on the ‘on revised’ event and where it detected this error it would retrospectively go back and fix it – not ideal but workable.

Our system has now matured and we have been actively using the serial item functionality. It’s now been reporting that this bug also affects the List – Serialized Items object. In exactly the same way changing the list results in a new document revision but it does not copy the actual list data.

The event handler we were previously given does not fix this new issue. Our preferred method of addressing this is to be issued a formal fix, however unless Bentley can commit to releasing this quickly then I will accept either a new event handler or ideally an amendment to the existing event handler to accommodate this.

Please can this be given urgent attention as the serialization process in eB is intrinsically linked to our core production activities.

I can post the event handler if required.

Thanks,

Andy.
