eB Users import from Active directory

Just so I have this correctly. It is possible to have existing eB user accounts and then integrate with Active Directory and both entities will sync together in the existing account? Or when syncing with Active Directory will it create new accounts?

Hi Mitch,

It will attempt to create new accounts, there could be conflicts depending on the setting for the person code.

The actionable events are:

• New AD Users found with no eB account (add eB person)
• AD users in eB don't match criteria anymore (can disable)
• AD user enabled, eB user disabled (can change status to enabled)
• AD user disabled, eB user enabled (can disable)

So if it doesn’t find the active directory user credential in eB it will attempt to add a person. This could potentially fail if there is a conflict.

I have done some testing and have it working with connection to AD but I am unable to find "AccountName" in the drop down so I can't find any existing Person Code - so it always creates new users. Do you have any advice on what attribute I can use?
